Hi Jennifer,
Sometimes babies do just great with those shields even when the latch is not 
idea.. I would certainly give it a try before going the pumping and 
bottle-feeding way. It is worth the try because it would save so much work 
and is certainly closer to the real thing, than bottles. close followup for 
weight gain, and if needed EBM til transition to the breast is possible.
