Hormone levels are always affected in some way by inflammation in the
body. The best way to heal inflammation is first to recognize its
protective value in the body and understand that it is not beneficial
to suppress it. Then, one must remove the offending agents (often
foods, but sometimes environmental and drugs) and heal the body using
holistic measures such as (only) nourishing foods, enzymes, usually
supplements, herbs, exercise and some form of mind-body awareness. I
have seen moms with a history of poor gut health and low milk supply
restore both through these measures.
