Subject: Lactnet Wins Top Honour in L-Soft's LISTSERVR Choice Awards

Lactnet empowers the frontlines of breastfeeding education, one email at a
time:
http://tinyurl.com/y6xto4

Excerpt from text absolutely made my day! Had to share it with my 6 kids,
their S.O.'s, my grandchildren, my siblings and good friends:

<Far more common is the exchange of techniques and practices that can help
the majority of mothers in overcoming more everyday challenges involved in
breastfeeding. One example is Reverse Pressure Softening, or RPS, a simple
technique to relieve breast engorgement in the first week after baby's
birth, which has quickly spread throughout the subscribers on the list
because it is easily described, simple to use, and seems to be more
effective than anything else currently in use. >

Absolutely true about exchange of techniques and practices, as I wrote in my
note of appreciation at the beginning of the JHL article:

<My special appreciation to Rachel Myr BSN, RM, IBCLC, for her enthusiastic
encouragement and promotion of Reverse Pressure Softening in Scandinavia. My
gratitude for positive feedback from colleagues around the world who have
used this technique in their practices, and to Lactnet, without which this
rewarding collaboration would not have been possible.>

Thank you Kathleen and listmothers, especially Rachel, who at the time, was
a regular member, just like the rest of you, and became a list mother after
the time I wrote the article. So many lactnetters were of special help with
their support, encouragement and feedback of additional helpful ideas, that
it would be absolutely impossible to name all of them, and were I to try, I
would certainly end up leaving someone out!

That's what Lactnet is all about: feedback, support and encouragement among
us as we strive to help the cause of breastfeeding in our many cultures,
and bring positive experiences for breastfeeding mothers and babies
throughout the world. Once again, Hats off to Lactnet!
