I have replied to Diana privatley with some suggestions but it just occurred
to me to ask if her paediatrician is using the 2006 WHO growth charts.
Diana, the CDC's charts are based on largely formula fed infants. The WHO
has discovered that babies exclusively breastfed for at least four months
and who continue to breastfeed for until after their first birthdays are
smaller at a year old than their artificially fed counterparts. Could the
instrument (and the user - don't get me started!), rather than the child, be
the problem?
