Kellie, I have not have personal experience with the Pill while lactating, but
bcp's containing only PROGESTIN as opposed to estrogen AND progestin are
not considered to be huge risks with respect to milk supply. It's the combo-
pills that are the most concerning, but are still okay to try after 6 months.
Progestin-only pills are sometimes called the Mini-pill, and may not be
effective for every woman. You should discuss options with your doctor.
As well, you will learn much more about your birth control options at the WABA
site: http://www.waba.org.my/specialpages/lam/FBPF.htm
Blessings!
