DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/14 October) -- Milk feeding bottles pile up every now
and then inside the metal-framed receptacle at the ward for newborn babies
at the Davao Medical Center, the largest government hospital outside the
Philippine General Hospital in Manila.
"These feeding bottles are not up for donation but are thrown away much like
any garbage to show that government means business when it implements this
program," said Dr. Loida Michelle Ong, chief resident physician of the DMC
Obstetrics-Gynecology Department.
