A church choir director once told me, "Introducing a new hymn to the congregation is tough at first.  The first time they hear it, they say, 'Ew, I didn't like that new thing you did,' and they complain to me about it.  The second time they say 'I've heard that before.'  The third time they say, 'I've always liked that hymn.'"

Sure enough, it's not just breastfeeding...
