I wonder if home-birth mothers feel 'interrupted' by visitors.

Nina, I TOTALLY felt interrupted by visitors after my homebirth, unless they
were my kind of visitor, who brings us a good meal to eat or freeze, offers
to put in a load of laundry or take my older child for an hour while I rest
with the baby or take a shower, and leaves after saying hello and taking a
quick look at the new blessing.

I had my first child in the hospital and remember wishing one male
co-worker, who certainly meant well, would just LEAVE so I could try to
breastfeed my little girl.  I'm generally a straightforward person, but that
was a sticky situation for me.

(Now I don't care who's around...I've been breastfeeding every day of my
life for over 4 years now, and I'm definitely comfortable and confident!)
