1. Frenulums didn't used to be important when most everyone bottle fed.
2. Frenulums used to be easily rcognized and clipped by dr right after
birth.
3. Today more moms are breastfeeding.
4. Most HCPs educated since frenulectomy went into disfavor don't even know
what to look for.
5. Tongue clipping has become a big deal (delayed, with anesthesia etc.)
6. Few HCPs know how or can do it properly.
7. We see the train wrecks that are the result of all of the above. :-(
