I have heard from Becky Mannell --president, board of directors, ILCA--who 
informed me that ILCA will be issuing a statement within 24 hr (post was dated, 
10-39 PM EST, on 10-30-06).  

I hope the news is good for this whole issue is so upsetting that when I 
started to write the subject line I put Cope instead of Scope; likely because 
that's how I feel, the angst is something I'm coping with, and would rather not be 
dealing with such stress.
