I can only tell you my impressions.  The older moms, who had already nursed 
in Mexico do pretty well, but seem to nurse less long.  I think jobs, money 
and access to formula are factors.  The younger ones are pretty typical as 
Americans and nurse briefly.  Using both seems to be the rule of the day. 
In the hospital everyone seems to think they don't have enough, nurses give 
them bottles, so it's OK, right? and they keep using them at home.  I spend 
my time telling them solo pecho, but I don't convince many.  It is very 
frustrating.  This is southern NJ, east coast, where nobody nurses very long
