I am preparing some materials for our milk bank and I need some basic  
breastfeeding and perinatal statistics. Here are my questions.  
Statistics for New England would be most helpful, but general US  
statistics would be a good start.

1. Breastfeeding rates in New England (I've found some data on the  
CDC website any other sources?)

2. Number of babies who pass through NICU in a year. What are  
indications and how long do they stay in the NICU?I have found some  
stats on the March of Dimes website. Are their stats considered  
reliable? Breastfeeding rates do not appear among these stats. Bf  
does not appear to be on their radar screen at all these days.

3. Breastfeeding rates, initiation and duration, for NICU babies. Are  
such statistics kept?
