What is the magic wand for this one?

Baby's latch is wide and beautiful and effective *after* he has slurped 
the nipple in.  He is not interested in opening wide until then.  Mom 
is trying a finger gently pulling his chin down, waiting for a gape, 
different positions, breast compressions, etc.  He's about 2 weeks old, 
born at home smoothly, wieghing about 6lb.

My daughter grew out of this after a few days, before I ever found the 
"cure"
