Empathy! I'd tell her that I hear how tired she is, and how much she 
wants to breastfeed her baby, and how she's so tired that she's almost 
wishing breastfeeding were not so important. Then I'd work with her to 
see what we could do to make breastfeeding work for her, perhaps teach 
her to feed while lying in bed, so she could get some rest AND continue 
to bf.
