The idealist in me wishes that we lived in a world where the SNS was the
first back-up to full breastfeeding, not the bottle.  Then we wouldn't have
to worry about whether a mother is "willing" to try it (because I've met the
same resistance), it would just be the ordinary matter of course.  I guess
bottles have their place, but I can't wrap my head around the idea that
their place is the one they currently occupy, as *the* way to feed a baby in
our culture.
