Ah, but some doc's are pushing vitamin D for fair kids too.  My Family Practice Doc here in San 
Francisco (who is lovely in all other respects) pushed the vitamin D drops for my son, who is very, 
very fair.  Her view was that he was so fair, I would of course be putting sunscreen on him everyday 
and thus he would need vitamin D.  I thanked her for her expert opinion and did not give any vitamin 
D.  (I admit, I don't use a lot of sunscreen.  I carry it with me but only put it on if it is really needed).  

Ooh that could be the new product.  Sun screen with vitamin D added.  How well do you think it 
absorbs from the skin? (Tongue in cheeck)
