This is not a surprising conclusion from an Indian physician (he was from
New Delhi.) Some physicians here do a wonderful job of supporting,
protecting and promoting breastfeeding. They seem to be the exception.
From the little that I have seen and what I have been told by moms, many
Indian physicians do not even give lip-service to the superiority of
breastfeeding. Knowledge of the practice seems to be lacking as well.
