I'm currently working with a mother of an 8-week old who is not able to
supply enough milk for her baby. (You all said these things happen in
threes, right?) After evaluating a lot of factors, I think she may be
experiencing a problem with milk ejection reflex/let down.
I have been doing some reasearch and I found something about the use of an
oxytocin nasal spray to help in these situations. Has anyone heard of this?
Does it work? Where can I find such a product?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer. This mother is very
committed and I'd like to help her if I can. We're also taking steps to
help her relax, as she has a history of anxiety and is very worked up about
not being able to breastfeed.
