Does anyone have any research or data about the use of underwire bras and
increased incidence of mastitis/plugged ducts? I need this info ASAP, so if

anyone has anything, please email me privately (and post, as well).

~~ I don't have any research ( and I admit I wore underwire nursing bras off
and on for seven years of nursing without problems) but some women do seem
to have issues. I am responding to open the query: Has anyone worked with a mom
who seemed to be getting plugged ducts and mastitis during pumping only (
baby has posterior tongue tie and mobility and strength issues which mom
refuses to have evaluated) which might be related to wearing those hands-free
bustiers? I think this mom's situation was complicated by the fact that she did
not always pump very regularly, and since her baby cannot latch and feed
normally at all, she was pumping many times a day and wearing the bustier most of
the day.
Just wondering,

Peace,
Judy
