Gonneke, it's not a joke. I initially passed this booth by at ILCA
thinking what I was least interested in was another nursing pillow, but
ended up buying one. I am anxiously awaiting the promised hospital
cover so I can try it out. My hope is that it works and is comfortable
and would encourage more mother-baby togetherness at night in the
hospital. As it is now, babies are not supposed to be in mother's bed
if mom is sleeping (per the hospital lawyer, I have debated this already
at endless meetings). So what happens is: mom nurses, baby falls
asleep, mom puts baby back in the crib, baby wakes up, mom repeats the
procedure until she's had it and sends baby back to the nursery (or asks
for a pacifier, or formula). No telling whether it will be okayed by
the folks in charge if it DOES seem to be useful, but it looks like it
might. Baby couldn't roll out of it, mom couldn't roll onto baby. I'm
optimistic; I'll report back when I've tried it and I'd love to hear
from others about this product.
