Hi all,
Having just recovered from my second bout with oral thrush, I thought I'd
recount my experience and seek input. For me, within 12 hours of ingesting
the first of a 10 day course of Bactrim, my mouth and tongue are swollen and
extremely sore. By day three, I have the characteristic white patches. I
treat it with lactobacillus granules which helps keep the pain down until the
Bactrim treatment is over. If this is typical of thrush in infants, then I
know they are in great discomfort, even before the white patches are evident.
Has anyone else had the personal experience of oral thrush and the resulting
pain??
