I was dismayed to see an ad in the coupon section that comes with the NY
Times yesterday. A full page ad accompanying a $5 off coupon for a big name
company's organic formula. The ad is for a grand prize for baby and mom getaway to
a spa, first prize, yoga classes for mom and a friend, second prize, a yoga
mat. So now the ploy is something like Yoga is healthy and so is this organic
formula--disgusting. And I haven't seen this brand on the shelves yet but I
imagine it's plenty pricey with a $5 off coupon...double disgusting. The byline
for the formula is stong babies start here; all I can think of is poor dears
have to be strong to stomach that stuff and to fight all the infections they
get. Sorry, but this gets to me and I think such advertising is criminal.
