Well, we know from _The Impact of Birthing Practices on Breastfeeding_by Kroeger and Smith,  that birth practices and harmful postpartum intervention can be disruptive to human mothers and babies bonding and feeding...so then why would one have to wonder if disturbing and disrupting the natural birthing, bonding and postpartum practices of an elephant be any different from a human? :)
