My 2 cents, as a marketer, and from my personal experience.

People *make* decisions based on emotion (feelings) and *justify* them with
information (reason).

I KEPT breastfeeding, because it felt good and "right" and it worked, and I
defended and justified my decision with medical information and by quoting
health professionals and organizations that recommended breastfeeding.
