Dear Laurie, there is a way to take these sort of exams at your convenience 
at local sites, that is how RN and NP exams are done now in NJ.  I think it 
may be through Sullivan Learning Centers.
Sorry I didn't realize cost was same whether via CERPs or exam.  In the long 
run CERPs would probably be less expensive if you do most of them via 
computer.  Free room and board at home :-)  Convention CERPs are expensive 
:-( but you miss the ed opportunities, the chit-chat and fun and just seeing 
old friends again.
I guess it is a toss up depending on your circumstances.  Isolated LCs have 
a bigger challenge than those of us who have a local chapter and inexpensive 
ed ops.
Like next  mo in South Jersey Donna More is going to speak to us about
