What you are missing is generic brand ramen noodles that are 10/$1 and 
generic macaroni & cheese that are 4/$1, and generic toaster pasteries 
that are 8/$1.   A family of four can eat this way for about $12 per 
week, and if they have $20 to spend on groceries they can splurge on a 
package of tp and enough sugary/fatty treats from the dollar store to 
make everyone in the family fat.
