Phyllis, I took the exam in 1985 with reading Auerbach & Riodan, some of
Lawrence plus LLLL experience of 18 years. I was part of the experimental
group in 96, did not study at all and studied minimally (and I do mean
minimal) this year.
I go ILCA, but not every year. I skim JHL, I'm a semi-active LLLL and go to
LLL meetings, but not every conv. I don't get to see that many BF babies in
my ped practice, or work with lots of problems like so many others do. (I
refer to WIC, LLL and LCs :-( but at least I know how to recognize a mom in
trouble, where to send her and what to say to her that won't wreck BF.
My scores.
1985 - 84
1996 - 80
2006 - 88
I'm not sure what they mean :-)
I'm proud of my IBCLC, plan to renew with cerps in 5 years and call it quits
when 2016 rolls around, if they don't have emeritus by then :-) Pat in SNJ
