The relevance may be the kind of fat. If she is eating a lot of meat
that is grain fed, that's lots of saturated fats. Switching to meats
which are exclusively grass-fed or at least grass-finished completely
changes the character of the fat, including making far more omega 3s,
rather than 6s, which we have too much of.
I had plugged ducts on a monthly basis for almost two years with my
son. He was an allergic baby who nursed hourly day and night, so my
body had little tolerance for much of a break between feeds. I now eat
exclusively organic grass-fed meats, and have had exactly one plug with
my 2yo daughter, which I did to myself with an ill-fitting babycarrier.
