As one who doesn't work directly with nursing mothers and babies, how
frequently is frenotomy necessary? Is is hereditary? Is this
something I should be bringing up in childbirth classes when I talk
about bf, or is it uncommon enough that I shouldn't worry about it.
If I should bring it up, what should I say to a class of couples
expecting their first baby in the next few weeks?

Thanks,
  Naomi Bar-Yam
