Oh dear -- for the second time in one week, two different moms have been
told to give their babies Karo syrup for babies who are not pooping. One is 6
weeks old and the other is 9 weeks old and both at same pediatrician. I
believe that both babies are not getting enough milk which is why they are not
pooping enough, but I have not seen one of the babies yet to be sure. I have
searched archives but not enough info where I want to give these moms some real
facts. For one thing, I would think that introducing a corn product to such
a young baby could set off a real allergic chain reaction and for another,
it is disgustingly sweet and thick which caused one baby to gag and scream...
how pleasant! So, pass onto me any research here that these moms can show to
this ignorant doc who never even looked into WHY these babies are not
pooping! Thanks, Ann
