Dear Friends:
This fear of insufficient milk is ubiquitous to humans; it is present
world wide. There are prayers and charms and special foods designed to assure
abundant milk. It is a natural human fear, once the baby is born and the mother
has the responsibility to keep it alive by her own efforts.
Doesn't the name La Leche League come from a statue, and refers to "Our
Lady of the Bountiful Milk?"
