I have a great handout (actually from the children's health and nutrition foundation). It is very detailed and I wonder if mom might still be experiencing symptoms if she is potentially eating something with gluten. I would think this would be the culprit versus breastfeeding causing any problems. If anything I would think breastfeeding would be advantageous for the infant as there is a family history of celiac disease. Sorry probably not the appropriate response for this list serve but I'd like to pass along the handout to this physician as it might be helpful. Don't know if I can post the pdf file, but if he could email me I'd be happy to share.
