I don't think this is really what you are looking for, but in WHO's
Mastitis article it says:

"9.1. <snip> Massage of the breast, using a firm movement of the thumb
over the lump towards the nipple may be helpful (3; 5; 65; 91; 133).
However, this should be done gently, because when breast tissue is
inflamed, massage can sometimes make the situation worse."
