I found this on a weather web site for estimating hail sizes:

0.25 inch: Pea.

0.50 inches: Marble.

0.75 inches: Penny.

1.0 inch: Quarter.

1.25 inches: Half-dollar.

1.50 inches: Walnut.

1.75 inches: Golf ball.

2.50 inches: Tennis ball.

2.75 inches: Baseball.

4.0 inches: Grapefruit.
