Hi, All: I don't have a pattern for a knitted breast, although I recall
seeing one (both knitted and crochet) several years ago, but can't remember
where. Check one of the many knitting/crocheting sites. I do have a
pattern called peek-a-boob for a knitted nursing halter top. One of the
moms in my support group is making one for me - I just don't have the
time. There are several photos of what it looks like - somewhat like the
popular camisole nursing tops. This pattern can be found at www.knitty.com.
I've also been following with great interest the thread on "nipple rape"
and it IS rape, if that is the mother's perception. I'm working with our
psych clinical nurse specialist on setting up a support group for moms
who've had C-sections. Even though so many mothers are requesting C-
sections today, they do end up with a lot of emotional trauma afterwards.
The moms have been asking for such a group, especially moms with repeat C-
sections.
