I also don't know exactly how I would incorporate this information into
messages to mothers except to say that breastfeeding supports mothers in
their mothering.... however, there certainly are reasons why breastfeedng
mothers might behave differently towards their children based on the fact
that they are breastfeeding. I do talk about this in my paper at

The research is quite fascinating and I think that we should be using this
to encourage public health bodies to put greater effort into supporting
breastfeeding in vulnerable dyads.
