Dear Friends:
A baby was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor at age 4 months that was treated
with surgery and chemotherapy. The hospital staff was very relieved that the
baby was being exclusively breastfed; the mother feels and believes that
breastfeeding saved her baby's life.
This baby is the mother's 4th baby. She had trouble learning to breastfeed in
the hospital with her 1st baby...........until some night nurse came and sat
with her for 15 minutes and gave her enough guidance that breastfeeding became
easy and fun.
This mother is deeply thankful for those 15 minutes that saved a
breastfeeding relationship, and as a result, proved essential in saving a life as well.
Amazing and wonderful story. Who knows what impact the advice and
encouragement that we give will have in a far and distant future??
warmly,
