Did anyone see the TV "news" story about a mother of twins who was combination-feeding them "breast milk AND iron-fortified formula." She was surprised when she was "made aware of the FACT" that "many" toddlers are anemic as parents go to whole milk, as toddlers may not eat much, and fill up on milk.
So the inference was: she should keep on giving iron-fortified formula beyond 12 months so that she can avoid anemia in her beautiful twins...and of course, a horrific list of the problems caused by anemia in toddlers followed. Breastfeeding was ignored for the rest of the report...
Guess we must be getting into their profit margin, so they need to extend the use of their product!
