My first consideration would be that this orange poop is a normal variant, perhaps uncommon, but within the normal variation seen. I might consider food or vitamins that mother is consuming, medication she is consuming perhaps? A certain beverage or tea? I am assuming baby is exclusively bf, any chance the baby is on a vitamin or tea or other intake? Since on the color wheel, yellow and red make orange, mom could be consuming a red dye of some sort??? I don't think it would be blood in the stool because usually blood is visible in streaks. I guess the stool could be tested for occult blood but I would not really recommend looking for this, if all looks clinically well, good weight gains, and the baby seems content.
