As a continued thought, related to my post about breast massage in
China:
Does anyone else find it ironic that, after 5 years as an IBCLC
(coupled with 14 years as a BSN/RN and 6+ years prior to that as an
LVN) I may be restricted from recommending something so simple and
non-invasive as breast massage, if it contradicts the advice of an MD?
Yet trained "nursemaids" in another country are able to go out to homes
to perform this service freely...
I guess I could go back to working high-risk OB, or take that legal
nurse consultant course, after all...why recert next year if I cannot
practice to the best of my abilities?
Carole
clearly feeling very discouraged this morning...
