I certainly like this term better than "breast" milk, but sometimes I
feel that "human milk" is too clinical and disembodied from the
mother. Another drawback is the fact that there is no one substance
out there that is "human milk," because the milk differs from mother
to mother, based on many different factors, and is individually
produced within the context of the mother-baby system. I personally
prefer "mother's milk," because it recognizes the importance of the
mother herself, and that she produces the milk for her own individual
baby.
