[I've used both the Symphony and the PIS extensively, though not the
PISA. No commercial relationship.]
My primary problem with the PIS, as well as it being a little less
effective and not as good at maintaining supply for me, was it being
uncomfortable compared to a Symphony, regardless of settings. The
vacuum profile felt like a nagging sudden tug-tug-tugging instead of
a smooth rhythmic expression. I also found the noise of the PIS to be
much more irritating. Both of these factors added up to shorter, less
relaxed pump sessions.
If these factors play in, I don't know whether simultaneous use on
each breast will give you all of the answers you're looking for.
Perhaps alternating pump sessions with one double pump, then the
other (keeping a close record of timing) may be a useful experiment
also?
