My grandfather had not only his tonsils but also 2 wisdom teeth grow back
after extraction.  We always joked  he must be part starfish (if you cut an
arm off the starfish and leave some of the mouth, the middle portion, they
should eventually grow back 4 more arms...and the amputated starfish will
regrow its 5th arm too).
