One of CARE's major projects in Darfur has been working with the community
in Nyala to reduce the mortality and morbidity rate of under five severely
malnourished children at the Nyala teaching hospital. Work is also being
done to improve the quality of services at the therapeutic feeding centre at
the hospital, where children and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers can
access food and nutritional information.
Some 404 mothers and carers have received health education on personal
hygiene, sanitation, the importance of breastfeeding, family planning, best
weaning practices and best food preparation.
[that's the full mention of infant feeding in this item]
