BOSTON -- It's always been the domain of infants, but now, a small number of cancer patients are turning to breast milk as a last attempt to boost their immune systems.
NewsCenter 5'd Liz Brunner reported that it's been called unconventional and controversial, but some people swear it helps cancer patients live longer.
It's been more than a year since Dorothy George was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In addition to undergoing chemotherapy, she said using breast milk has helped her survive far longer than the few months her doctors predicted.
