Sounds like normal newborn behavior. Why don't you suggest she read Harvey
Karp's book - The Happiest Baby on the Block. He's wonderful at explaining
the state of mind of babies in their first three months. He also
recognizes that constant nursing may be overwhelming for some mothers and
offers alternatives. This mother may be as traumatized as her baby was,
and looking for signs that something is wrong, when nothing is. Sometimes
seeing things in print can be very comforting.
I have no financial interest in this book, never met the man, and own no
publishing stock!
