I have a weird question. I always thought a breastfed baby could not be overfed. I am caring for a 1 month old exclusively breastfed baby who was at birth weight at week one, put on 800 gms in week 2, and 400 gms each week since. He was born 4200gms and is now 5700 gms. His parents are very slim, so this is not a genetic predisposition. He looks really stuffed after a feed!
And before anyone asks, no it is not odema from heart failure (he has been well checked).
Does anyone have any comments?
