I'm curious as to why none of you contacted the HCP to express your
concerns. It sounds as if the mom got put in the middle of each of the
situations described, being asked to choose between her HCP and your
advice. How is the HCP going to learn anything if you don't discuss your concerns?
Dear Friends:
Excellent point. Learning about the basis for someone else's point of
view or recommendation is a lovely process. I would hate to think that some other
practitioner is in some nurses' station somewhere complaining about me
instead of having a discussion with me.
