Hi All,

I remember the early days - I joined in 1995 having just discovered this
wonderful (and sometimes overwhelming) field of breastfeeding. We had all
of 300 or so members at the time.I printed out almost everything I read so I
could read it again.

When I attended my first ILCA conference in 2004 I was amazed at how I was
introduced to many of the people I had 'known' for years on-line - I was the
one who asked ALL those questions! I did ask a lot of questions and wow has
it helped me in my education, my practice - everything. So to those
students out there - this is the place to come to find your answers. The
archives are filled with so much information - I wonder when someone will
take that and make a text book out of it! :-)

To our listmoms - thanks for putting up with me and my many questions,
encouraging the heck out of me in the early days and inspiring me to learn,
learn, learn. You were my first venture into real computer education - and
my education and information source to become the best LC I can be. The
work you have done over the years has been phenomenal and, in my not so
humble opinion, the Award is well deserved.

To the many members with whom I formed friendships - thank you.those of us
who have formed those types of friendships know how valuable they are and
how amazing it can be to have the opportunity to put a face to the name on
the screen.the cennections we have all developed over the years have, I am
sure, benefited many many moms and babies.

Congratulations!

Warmly,

With Love.
