If I remember correctly, the end of "The Grapes
of Wrath" (1940) depicts a young woman
breastfeeding a starving older man; and "A Price
Above Rubies" (1998) depicts an unhappy woman
breastfeeding, but she can't handle how
stimulated ("hot") breastfeeding makes her feel,
so she leaves her baby and her repressive husband.
Neither of these is the "positive normal image of
breastfeeding" that Amanda is looking for,
though. This is pretty awful, isn't it, how few
American movies (or other media) depict
breastfeeding!
